Seedance 2.5 is a video generation model from ByteDance's Seed team, officially launched on July 31, 2026. Many X posts promoting Seedance access come from small accounts pushing discount offers, so this guide sticks to ByteDance's own pages: what the model does, which ByteDance-operated apps offer it outside China, what they charge in USD, and what the API costs. We don't recommend resellers.

ByteDance's own stated limitations: physical plausibility of complex motion and stability in scenes with several interacting subjects still need work.^[1]

Official ways to use Seedance 2.5 outside China海外官方使用渠道

Dreamina (dreamina.capcut.com): ByteDance's international AI creation site. Its Seedance 2.5 page says the model is "officially live worldwide" and offers free daily credits to try it.^[3]
CapCut video editor: Seedance 2.5 is a selectable model in AI video generation. As of this check, CapCut says it is rolling out to subscriber accounts in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and South America, with broader availability expanding. The US is not named.^[5]
Pippit (pippit.ai): an official ByteDance product, not a third-party reseller. The Google Play listing names the developer as Bytedance Pte. Ltd.; the US privacy policy covers "CapCut Commerce Pro and Pippit" operated by TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC; Pippit's own page says it evolved from CapCut Commerce Pro and offers Seedance 2.5.^[7]^[8]^[6]
BytePlus ModelArk (API): ByteDance's model platform for developers lists dreamina-seedance-2-5-260628 with USD pricing (see below).^[9]
Jimeng and Doubao: ByteDance's launch post lists these China-market apps as launch platforms. For users outside China, the international counterpart of Jimeng is Dreamina.^[1]
About the "$1.50" offers on X: Dreamina's own pricing page lists a first-month price of USD 1.50 for its Basic plan when paying by card or PayPal (USD 15 otherwise), as a limited-time offer. We did not verify promo prices quoted by individual accounts. Check the price on the official site before you pay.^[4]

At launch (Jul 31) ByteDance said API access was "coming soon via BytePlus ModelArk".^[1]
BytePlus ModelArk's pricing page now lists dreamina-seedance-2-5-260628 for online inference. Offline (batch) inference is listed as "not supported yet".^[9]
BytePlus bills video by tokens. Its formula is (input video duration + output video duration) × width × height × frame rate / 1024 tokens, and actual usage is whatever the API returns.^[9]

Pricing价格

Official USD prices as published on Oct 15, 2026. Dreamina's pages show several limited-time offers (ending Oct 23) and quote different "from" per-second rates on different pages ($0.04/sec on the pricing page, $0.05/sec on the Seedance 2.5 page). Dreamina doesn't publish a clear per-second credit cost for Seedance 2.5 outside these promotions, so check the credit charge in the app before generating.
